Beyond e-learning

Train your teams as if they were already on the floor

Soriston turns your work environments and situations into interactive 360° training. Your teams observe, practise, act, decide and learn from the consequences of their choices: on VR headset, mobile, tablet or desktop.

The real gap

Understanding a procedure is not yet knowing how to act.

E-learning is particularly effective at conveying knowledge, rules and procedures. Soriston complements that approach when the goal is to prepare the learner for a situation: observe, spot, act, decide and see the consequences of their choices.

Today

Understand and memorise

  • The learner reviews a procedure, watches a video or takes a training module.
  • A quiz checks that they understood and retained the information.
  • They can know the right answer without yet having faced the situation.
  • The same knowledge can be applied differently from one person to another.
  • It remains hard to know how the learner will react once placed in the real context.
With Soriston

Prepare for the situation

  • The learner is placed in an environment or situation close to what they will meet on the floor.
  • They must observe, spot the elements that matter, act or make a decision.
  • Their choices trigger consequences they can understand and analyse.
  • They can start the situation again and work on the points that give them difficulty.
  • Results show what was achieved during training and the situations that still need reinforcing.

E-learning conveys knowledge. Soriston prepares for the situation.
Passing a quiz does not necessarily mean knowing what to do when facing the situation.

What your teams see

A scene filmed in 360°, turned into immersive training

The learner looks around, spots an element, chooses an action, makes a decision and sees what happens next.

Drag to look around. Click a magnifier to open a detail.

Your browser cannot display the 360° view. The video still plays, but the image appears unwrapped.

0:00/0:00

The demo runs in your browser. No headset needed to try it.

Deciding under constraint

Time, context and the situation shape the decision, just like on the floor.

Measurable results

Choices, errors, response times and progress are recorded during training.

Full immersion

And once the headset is on

On a VR headset, the learner lives a work situation filmed in 360°, observes what happens and chooses how to act. In this example, they must spot a customer struggling at a kiosk and adopt the right response. Every choice triggers a consequence and becomes a learning moment.

  • A real station, not a set Scenes are filmed in real working environments, with the equipment actually in use.
  • Moves, not slides The learner observes, chooses and interacts with the elements of the situation exactly as they will have to on the floor.
  • From guided session to autonomy The same module can be run in a guided session, then taken again independently.
How a situation unfolds

One situation. Choices. Consequences.

A Soriston module reproduces the logic of the floor: the learner observes, acts, decides, then immediately sees the effect of those choices.

Observe the situation

The learner steps into a real working environment filmed in 360° and spots the elements that matter to the situation.

Act on the elements

They interact with what surrounds them: equipment, products, information or procedure steps.

Decide at the right moment

The learner has to decide as they would on the floor, sometimes with only a few seconds to react.

See the consequence

What follows changes with the choice: the learner sees what the decision causes, understands the mistake and can start again.

The platform

Built for field constraints

A site with no Wi-Fi, a few minutes between two work slots, teams spread across several locations: Soriston was designed to fit the realities of the floor, not the other way round.

Works offline

Modules are downloaded in advance and stay usable with no network. Results sync as soon as the connection is back.

One module, four devices

The same module is available in VR, on tablet, on mobile or on desktop, depending on the training context.

Scenarios that react to choices

The path changes with the learner’s decisions: one action can alter what follows or trigger a different consequence.

Understandable even without sound

Subtitles, visual cues and on-screen instructions keep the experience clear in noisy environments and improve accessibility.

Controlled progression

Content can be organised and unlocked step by step, along the path planned for each learner.

Deployable across several sites

Roll out the same standards to several sites while adapting access to each organisation, location or team.

Rollout

Immersive training across every site

Once your content is ready, Soriston rolls out quickly to a single site or an entire network, with no complex infrastructure and no dedicated workstation to reconfigure.

  • Roll out to one site or many Activate the same content for a team, a location or an entire network.
  • Adapt access to each organisation Manage available content by company, site, group and user profile.
  • Train with or without a trainer Modules can be used in a guided session, then taken again independently.
  • Manage everything from one platform Centralise content, users and results across all of your locations.

One platform for companies, training centres and multi-site networks.

Performance tracking

Measure what teams do, not what they attended

Beyond simply completing a course, Soriston analyses what the learner does during training: decisions, errors, response time, use of help and progress from one session to the next.

Decisions in context Analyse the choices the learner makes in the situations presented.
Level of autonomy Measure the use of help and the ability to succeed unaided.
Identified errors Spot the steps, decisions or actions that still need work.
Measurable progress Compare results from one session to the next and follow change over time.
Mastered situations Identify validated scenarios and those that still need practice.
Individual and group view Analyse results by learner, group, site or network.

Use cases

Three environments. One training logic.

The method stays the same. What changes are the situations, the moves and the risks to master.

FAQ

What people ask us before starting

Typically 2 to 4 weeks for a scenario already structured by Soriston, adapted to your procedures then filmed on your site. For a fully bespoke design, allow 4 to 8 weeks depending on complexity, approvals and filming availability. We set the precise schedule with you as soon as the project starts.

We prepare the scenario with you beforehand. On the day, we need access to the site, to the equipment concerned and to the people required for the situation. Everything is organised in advance to keep the impact on your operations to a minimum.

Yes. Soriston can be deployed first to a single team, a single site or a limited set of situations. That lets you validate usage, gather feedback and measure first results before extending to other teams or locations.

No. Soriston modules are available on VR headset, mobile, tablet or desktop. The headset gives the fullest immersion, but you choose the devices according to your usage, your teams and your sites.

Yes. Modules can be downloaded in advance and used offline. Results sync once the network is available again.

Soriston suits situations where you have to observe, apply a procedure, carry out an action or make a decision. Scenarios can start from an existing outline or be designed entirely around your roles and objectives.
